How To Create Testimonial Videos That Will Make People Cry… I Mean… Buy

Getting testimonials or good reviews from customers/clients is absolute money. This means testimonial videos should be at the top of your list of video content to create. However you go about creating your testimonial videos, just make sure that they are focused on telling a story. Here’s a simple story outline that will help you create amazing testimonial videos.

1. Talk about the problem
Your customer had a terrible life before they found your product/service. Make sure that they talk about how terrible it was. This will help people who are dealing with the same problems to relate to your customer.

2. Introduce the solution (your product/service)
Have your customer talk about how they found your product, and how it helped their life become better. You can also have them talk about their experience with your product or service. (Was it easy to use? How long did it take? Was it enjoyable? etc.)

3. Talk about their life now
Now that your product or service has helped them leave their terrible life in the past, have your customer talk about how great their life is now. Do they still use your product/service frequently? Have they suggested it to friends & family?

I like to think about this simple story framework in this way: Your customer was a zero, and with the help of your product/service, they’ve become a hero. The story of Hercules is the same as your customers', and we all love watching the Disney movie, so why not bring some of that magic into your marketing?
